We are looking for a part-time worker to join our team at Drumanilra Organic Farm. You’ll help us pack farm produce boxes, of organic meat, fruit & vegetables, for delivery to our local Click and Collect points and by Courier. You’ll serve customers at our pop up farm shops.
You’ll be based in our packing centre in Carrick-on-Shannon. You’ll divide your time between the packing centre, our organic farm and our pop up farm shop and collection points in Carrick-on-Shannon, Boyle and Strandhill. You’ll be working as part of a small team on a part-time, three day week basis.
You’ll pack farm produce boxes of organic meat and vegetables. You’ll ensure the highest standards of quality control, food hygiene, presentation and cleanliness. You’ll help deliver produce boxes to our collection points. You’ll manage our courier deliveries. You’ll serve customers and manage our pop up farm shop locations.
You should have:
- Experience in a warehouse, food production, and/or food retail environment
- Proven ability to provide great customer service in a retail environment. Experience in a Farmer’s Market an advantage
- Interest in organic food and, with training, an ability to talk to customers about our products
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a small team
- Experience of cash handling
- Full, clean driving licence
